WRITTEN BY SAM TAYLOR
14 May 2025
New client, writer and director, Sam Taylor's new stage play, SOLITARY THINGS, premieres at the Courtyard Theatre for an initial three night run (12-14th June) at the Courtyard Theatre in Shoreditch. Advance tickets are available here. https://offwestend.com/listing/solitary-things/ Its his third production and follows hot on the heels of his critically acclaimed play, PHONE, which was staged last year. Synopsis: When there's a power cut at the smallest psychiatric facility in England, the residents are forced into the one room with remaining power. But that room belongs to Ewan. And Ewan isn't used to having company... Exploring the effects of loneliness on our mental health and the power of social connection in restoring it, Solitary Things is a warm, timely testament to the importance of community and an indictment on the over-medicalisation of the human experience.
